Community Organizations

 

• Pacific Heights Residents Association: Join your neighbors at the annual PHRA meeting held at the iconic Flood Mansion, where you can connect with local politicians, community leaders, and non-profits. Sign up for a local calendar of events.

• Northern Neighbors: Get to know your neighbors and make new friends by attending meetups in the park, clean-ups, and other special events.

• Refuse Refuse: Help keep our neighborhood clean by joining your neighbors for a neighborhood cleanup event. Stay afterward for a social hour.

• Friends of Lafayette Park: Volunteer opportunities for park clean-ups and social events. 

• Friends of Alta Plaza Park: Quarterly clean-up parties on the second Saturday of the month. 

 

Safety and Emergency Preparedness

 

• SF Safety Alerts: Receive SF safety alerts by text or email. Text your zip code to 888-777 or visit Alertsf.org for traffic disruptions and other emergency warnings.

• NERT (Neighborhood Emergency Response Teams): Learn how to take care of yourself and your neighbors in crisis by attending a free NERT training. 

• SFPD Northern Station Stay informed and engaged by attending community meetings at the SFPD Northern Station on the second Tuesday of each month at 5 pm. 

 

Fun

 

• Farmers’ Markets: Enjoy fresh produce and artisanal goods every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm on Fillmore Street or on Clement Street on Sundays from 9 am - 2 pm. 

• Explore Fillmore Street: Discover the latest stores and restaurants on Fillmore Street.

• Japantown San Francisco’s Japantown is the oldest and largest of the three remaining Japantowns in the US. This city mall is bursting with great Japanese restaurants, retail stores, cultural events, and outdoor parks.  

• Hamilton Pool: Take a dip at the public Hamilton Pool. There’s even a water slide!

• The New Fillmore Local history and the latest news from Fillmore Street. 

• Libraries Explore the Western Addition and Presidio Branch libraries, both open 7 days a week. You can also give back by volunteering as a tutor to help ESL learners and children with their reading skills. 

• City Guides Discover the fascinating history of Pacific Heights and its iconic homes with free City Guides walks. Explore Pacific Heights mansions and experience the Victorian charm of San Francisco.
